John Chatterton (born 1951) is a wreck diver from the United States. During the first season of the History Channel’s Deep Sea Detectives, he co-hosted the show with Richie Kohler, which ran for 57 episodes. He also works as a consultant for the film and television industries, and has previously worked with companies such as 20th Century Fox, Paramount Pictures, and CBS Television. Prior to embarking on his television career, Chatterton spent twenty years working as a commercial diver in and around New York City’s financial districts. Michael Norwood, his first co-host and diving companion from Deep Sea Detectives, perished in a diving accident while on a diving trip to Palau in December 2003.
